In the city of Coban, Alta Verapaz, it´s located the facilities for sorting and preparation of limes prior to
export, the plant is strategically located in an industrial area, allowing fruit from other producers from the north of the country to be received.
Post harvest handling of persian lime consists mainly of washing, drying, waxing and sorting the fruit by size and
quality. The limes are classif ied according to size ranging between 110 and 250 units for the 18kgs. box, and
betwen 36 and 60 for the 4.5kgs. box.
